Are the products you sell genuine from Lodge USA?

Yes! We are an official authorized distributor for Lodge USA. All our stock comes straight from Lodge’s factory in Tennessee, USA.

You can always verify our status as a distributor by asking Lodge.

Can I get a discount code?

We don’t normally have discounts. We strive to have fair and competitive pricing throughout the year. If you find any of our products being sold elsewhere for much lower pricing, do message us and we will review our pricing. We will try to match prices from established suppliers. It is hard to keep up with marketplace pricing such as on Amazon.in

For example, at the time of writing, this is the price for the 10.5″ griddle on Amazon.in and our website.

Can I get my skillet or griddle in factory packaging?

Yes, if you buy in case packs. These products come packed multiple in one box from the factory. If we have to send you the factory package, you need to buy everything in the package. The popular 10.25 inch skillet and 10.5 griddle are packed 3 in a box. Buy 3 and we will send you the entire factory package!

Can I visit you?

We are not a store! We operate a wholesale warehouse that sells products other than cookware too. So if you’re looking to drop in, check out the range and pick something – this is not possible, sorry. We don’t even have a billing station / payment terminal at the warehouse.

If you want to pick up an order locally – yes, this is possible. The order will have to be placed on our website and paid for before you come by to pick up. Note that our regular working hours are Monday to Friday, 10 AM – 6 PM only. If you want to pick up your order between these times, add a note when making your order on the website.

Do you sell on Amazon.in?

No, we do not. We have experienced that Amazon is an unregulated marketplace that does not help us deliver the kind of customer service we’d like to.

  • Amazon does not show true MRPs – we like to have consistent pricing that is inline with the MRPs we have set for the product.
  • Amazon has multiple sellers that are not vetted in any way. For example, if we work hard and popularized a product such as a skillet on Amazon – there is no protection from another new seller who might come in and benefit from that popular rating by selling a grey market (unofficially imported or otherwise) product at a lower price. This is on view every single day, each product has so many sellers with wildly varying pricing.
  • If you read the reviews for some of the Lodge products on Amazon, they tell a sad tale of botched deliveries. Sellers source products for cheap and send them directly to Amazon’s warehouses without ever handling the product. They are happy as long as they are net positive cash on the transaction – X products sold at good margin, Y products delivered broken and written off.  What about the customer experience? Who is helping the customer get the right product the first time without having to deal with customer service and a return? Shouldn’t that be the focus?

We care about the standing that the brand Lodge has with customers. We’d like to help you figure out the right product for you, help newcomers get started with cast iron on the right foot and we’d like to have a direct channel of communication with you. That is why we will not sell on Amazon.in or similar marketplaces. We will partner with the right stores who will make the product available locally and we will sell direct on our website.

Do your products come with a warranty?

There is no warranty on Lodge cast iron products as such. You can try to find one on the Lodge website, but to the best of our knowledge there is no published warranty. 

What we guarantee is that you will receive a brand new piece in factory condition. Any product issues have to be reported to us immediately after delivery and before use (please save the packaging for returns). Cast iron can develop rust within a day if left uncared for. It is also a brittle material and will easily crack if dropped. For these reasons we are unable to replace or refund any products that have been used.

How do I pay by credit card?

Please use “PayU” checkout on our site if you wish to pay by card or netbanking. For UPI or NEFT/IMPS choose “bank payment” at checkout.

I am unable to add to the cart!

If you have issues adding to cart, please try again once you are logged into your account. Being logged in usually fixes that issue. Sorry for the inconvenience. However, we do need you to log in or create an account to complete your order, so you’ll just be doing it first.

Is there any difference between free shipping and paid shipping?

No, there isn’t. If free shipping is available, please choose that.

What is your return policy?

We don’t take returns. All sales are final. If a product is not delivered to you in new condition, we are happy to replace it. If we are unable to replace it, you will be offered a refund.

If you receive a damaged or less-than-new product – do not use the product! Used products cannot be returned. Please contact us (reply to your order confirmation email) within 7 days of receipt of the product. Make sure to keep it in the packaging it came in. We will arrange to have it picked up. In some cases, pick up might not be available and you may need to drop off the package at a courier office.

 

When will I receive my order?

We ship all cast iron orders by surface from Bangalore. The further you are from Bangalore, the longer it will take.

Orders to Mumbai and south of there are normally delivered in 2-3 working days. Orders to NCR are delivered in about 4 days. Orders to remote regions such as the North East take longer.

Please note that couriers are facing occasional delays during the pandemic. Delivery timelines have been okay for the most part, thankfully.

Why do Lodge products in India cost so much more than the US$ pricing in the USA?

You cannot directly compare India pricing with pricing in the USA. The cast iron cookware is made in the USA and imported here. That adds cost. Just like this for example

 

Coconuts are not grown in the USA, so US consumers wanting coconut water pay more than we do in India.

I have a warranty question

Happy Earth honors the manufacturer specified warranty for all products we sell. If you believe that you have an issue covered by the manufacturer warranty, take your product back to the point of purchase along with your receipt. If you are not able to work with the original reseller for any reason, please contact us (email preferred – info@happyearth.in) and we will do our best to help you out.

Why don’t you accept credit cards?

Happy Earth is a wholesaler – we don’t have a retail outlet. As a wholesaler, our goal is to support your local bike shops to help them serve you better. The best way to buy would be to buy from one of our stocking dealers. If they don’t have your product, they can usually order it from us for you.
If that does not work, for whatever reason – we are able to ship direct to you at no charge, however we don’t accept cards.

Our bank is HDFC Bank and if you choose “bank wire” as payment method when submitting your order, you will receive an email with our account details. You can then send us your payment via NEFT or IMPS or even just make a cash deposit into our account from any HDFC branch. If none of those work, you can send us a cheque and we will process your order when the payment is realized.
